"Having lived in Valpo my whole life Ernie’s has just always been there. Like an old friend. I have bought my gas there exclusively since August of 2011. A large local chain had sold me 7 gallons of water with my fuel. Since then Mike and his staff have towed for me, fixed a tire or two, and sold me several batteries. I stop in and am always greeted with hellos and have always been thanked for being a customer. It’s not the new grocery store style station but it’s not supposed to be. They are just great honest people who actually value their customers. Everyone that knows me knows it’s literally the only place I’ll get fuel in NWI. On top of all of that they still have a full service pump. Theres a lot of people with mobility issues that use it every week. I urge you to stop in."
